Obsessed with your glasses and love this! I’ve had an off again on again relationship with running but it can be actually so gorgeous and make you feel so good
Thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼 Argh I’m the same, I hated it for sooo long but I think slowing RIGHT down to almost a walk has been my lightbulb moment. That and letting go of my competitive streak/always wanting to be immediately great at something. I can be mediocre but still get all the lovely endorphins!! 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Good on you! Keep it up! I am 67 and my knees are shot so I tumble quite a bit, too. My goal is to start doing knee exercises - given to me by a PT I went to for a few weeks. I didn’t realize I was supposed to keep doing the knee exercise. (i have a month and a week to be “better”) before I see my GP again)
Thank you, Pam! Argh, I have one dodgy knee too (since I was a child!) so I’m also hoping to see a physio about it this year to see how to strengthen it. Hopefully 2025 can be the year both our knees get a little more robust 🫶🏼😊
Literally reading this the day after going for a run and somehow, someway hurting or pulling my groin. Lol. I knew halfway that I was probably overdoing it,
the universe is so funny. I’m aspiring to do a 5K run/walk this spring so I’m hoping to get back into training for it soon enough. Thanks for the motivation!
This is a lovely reflection, I’m happy you’ve managed to connect to an expression of movement that feels genuine and good to you and shared the little tips and tricks you needed to make it comfortable 🫶🏾

EXACTLY THIS! It’s entering it going ‘I’ll do my best’ rather than I’m gonna run an marathon next week

Yes!! I love this for you. And the first run after a long break is ABSOLUTELY the worst. My thighs felt like concrete for days afterwards 😂

Thanks Inigo!! Yes, feels SO much better to move for the feeling itself rather than some boring physical result 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️✨
This was beautiful. You've inspired me to go plan a run this weekend after almost 6 months out. I'm doing it for 80 year-old me!
