Grief when a very close friend passes is one of those things that you never really understand until it happens. Once you get past the initial intense phase, that lingering grief is so brutal in its persistence. But, as you point out, you do hit a point where you can make deliberate choices to try and be happy.
I did pay money for my Boox ereader itself, but since then its been used for books & comics from Libby and Hoopla. Zero dollars spent although I have way too many books checked out, lol
I love these. Not the usual “make sure you work out everyday” which is still good advice but this is much more reframing how you look at happiness and life.
Thank you! And yesss, exercise plays such a big part in my happiness too, but sometimes I just want to hear about small mental shifts that anyone can do 💓
I'm also one of those over thinkers who doesn't make any decisions impulsively and has no regrets 😂. I've always thought this is probably one of my biggest strengths. Even if when I made more impulsive decisions, I never regretted any of them.
And you're so lucky to have strong friendships! It's one thing I struggle with sometimes to keep in touch and keep close friendships when my friends mostly live on different countries. You inspired me to reach out more ❤️

So, bravo for actively choosing happiness.
Absolutely! It changes you forever, and definitely bonds you with people who have gone through the same. Thank you 😊

Thank you, Mark! 😊
Oh I love this idea of “for the plot.” 🫶🏻🤩
